BY-LAWS
OF THE 19TH HOLE
CLUB
WOBURN COUNTRY CLUB
ARTICLE
I Dues
The annual dues for membership in the 19th Hole Club shall be set by
the Executive Committee.
ARTICLE II Membership Eligibility
No player shall be eligible to play in any tournament of the 19th Hole
Club unless
he has paid his membership dues, as established in these By-Laws, in
full by the
morning of the tournament. Any member who has failed to pay his
membership dues by
May 1st of the current year shall be removed from the membership rolls
and shall,
if he rejoins the club thereafter, be required to re-establish his
handicap and
tournament eligibility; provided, that the Executive Committee may
waive the foregoing
penalties by majority vote for good cause shown.
ARTICLE III Tournament Eligibility
(a) No member shall be eligible to play in a regular tournament unless
he has an
established handicap based on continual membership or, if a new member,
has
turned in at least five valid and attested eighteen-hole scorecards
based on
rounds played in the current year at the Woburn Country Club and has
been
assigned a temporary handicap by the Handicap Chairman. A new member
with an
established GHIN number from another club will be eligible to play in
tournaments
after having provided the GHIN number to the handicap chairman.
(b) No new member having joined in the current year shall be eligible
to play in
a major tournament (Member-Member, Member-Guest, President’s
Cup, Club Championship,
or any other tournament designated by the Executive Committee as a
major tournament)
unless he has participated as an eligible player in at least five
regular tournaments.
A new member with a GHIN number will have to play at least five regular
tournaments
before being eligible to play in a major tournament.
