Handicap - Scoring - Posting
To post scores through the
Internet go to WWW.GHIN.COM.
See details below.
Score cards:
All 18
hole score
cards must be submitted for posting to the GHIN system. The Handicap
Chairman has the right to penalize anyone who fails to submit a score
card for a round played.
All
score cards
must be signed by the player and attested by at least one playing
partner. An unsigned or unattested score card will not be accepted.
No score card will be accepted with only the player’s score. The
player must have at least one more score on the card and attested by
that player.
All
score cards
must have the local numbers for all the members on the score card.
We have
many
members with the same last name. Please be sure to have a first name
for those members on the score card.
Internet Score
Posting:
Beginning
in 2008
scores may be posted through the Internet. WWW.GHIN.COM. Click the tab
“Post Online”. Enter your GHIN number. This is the
6 or 7 digit number on your USGA handicap card, not your local 19th
Hole Club number. Enter your name and follow the instructions.
All
scores
entered through the internet must be backed up by a score card turned
into the Pro Shop. On the card write the words “POSTED ON
INTERNET”. If a card is not received within 10 days the score
will
be reversed off the system.
Posting of away scores:
When playing at another
course the score may be posted on the computer at that course or may
be brought back to the Pro Shop.
If
a score is posted on the computer at the away
course the score card must be brought to the Pro Shop at Woburn. On
the card write “POSTED AWAY SCORE”. If the card is not
received
within 10 days the score will be reversed off the system
Tournament scores:
We will
no longer use the “T” feature on the handicap
system.
